Instant Pot Corn on the Cob

Instant Pot Corn on the Cob is my new go-to way to cook corn on the cob! It is so easy and the corn comes out perfect every time!

Instant Pot Corn on the Cob

Growing up in Iowa, I’ve eaten my fair share of corn on the cob.  I have great memories of sitting on the front porch or back deck with one of my parents, shucking and cleaning the cobs of corn that were probably as fresh as they ever get.  There’s just nothing better than biting into a sweet and firm cob of corn, y’know?

While I went through a phase of grilling my corn every time we had it, I was craving just some good old fashioned boiled corn.  The problem is, I hate waiting for a huge pot of water to boil, and I don’t keep a big enough pot up in the kitchen.  I’d have to go ALL THE WAY to the basement to get it.  Womp womp.

Instant Pot Corn on the Cob

That’s when I had the thought to use the Instant Pot.  Turns out, you can make corn on the cob in the Instant Pot and it is SO easy and SO good.  It’s also super hands off, meaning you don’t have to keep checking the water to see if it’s boiling yet and then keep an eye on it while its boiling so it doesn’t boil over.  This also means you can spend more time on your patio flipping burgers and enjoying a beautiful summer night.  We’re all into this, yes?!

How to Make Instant Pot Corn on the Cob

To make Instant Pot Corn on the Cob, you simply add ~2 cups of water to your Instant Pot and then place your corn on the cob on top of the trivet accessory.  You then cook the corn on high for 2 minutes, do the quick release, and that’s it!  Perfectly cooked corn on the cob awaits.  Just don’t forget the butter and salt!
