Shake up happy hour with Grapefruit Moscow Mules! Fresh grapefruit juice, ginger beer, and vodka are the stars in this delicious cocktail.
It’s Friday! So, let’s have a drink.
I stopped posting on Fridays a while ago to focus on getting out two quality recipe posts a week as opposed to three “meh” posts a week but I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to post this Grapefruit Moscow Mule recipe and what better day than Friday?! Okay, maybe some people needed these on Monday but that’s beside the point. Friday is a day to celebrate and what better way than with a fun little cocktail?
While I typically stick to wine or beer when I go out, if I’m going to order a cocktail it’s likely going to be one of two things: an Old Fashioned or a Moscow Mule. Typically an Old Fashioned in the winter or a Moscow Mule in the warmer months. It just seems fitting to me.
How-EVER, with all of the fresh citrus right now, the idea for Grapefruit Moscow Mules popped in my head and wouldn’t get out until I brought it to life. It just so happened that my thoughtful husband bought me copper mugs for Christmas so I could make authentic Moscow Mules. What a guy!
These turned out so good and were way easier than I anticipated. A Moscow Mule is typically a combination of vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice. So, all I did was swap grapefruit juice in place of the lime juice and voila! We have Grapefruit Moscow Mules.
Is it happy hour yet?!
