I think I mention this every year, but I’m not a huge fan of Valentine’s Day. Don’t get me wrong, I love romance but why force it on this particular day? So instead of writing a long post about why I wish I could shoot an arrow through Cupid (okay, I’m being dramatic), I’m just going to embrace the good things about Valentine’s Day. The obvious:
chocolate spending time with my husband. The second most obvious: chocolate. I can’t be the only sucker for the holiday themed candy that is shoved in my face at Target…right?!
My favorite Valentine’s Day candies are the Sweet Tart conversation hearts and the Reese’s hearts. And the holiday themed m&ms are a given for any holiday. They are just so versatile! Throw ’em in some Peanut Butter m&m Blondies, toss ’em in some m&m Cookies, mix ’em into some Peanut Butter m&m Brownies, or how about some Monster cookies? And now, you can make the whole cookie thing one step easier and just make them into m&m cookie bars. All of the yumminess of m&m cookies but only one pan to put in the oven, and you simply cut and serve.
These were so easy to make and so yummy. Like the name implies, they are thick and chewy…just how I like my cookies! Even better, they can be made with any holiday colored m&ms for any holiday.
