Well, happy Friday to you! Can I just say that I am loving my new work schedule? Having a day off in the middle of the week makes my weeks flyyyy by! Oh, and this week may have seemed particularly short since I have tomorrow off 🙂 Why, you might be asking, am I taking a day off when I just started my new job? It’s not for a vacation, that’s for sure. I’m actually going to be running in Ragnar – a 200 mile relay race. Call me crazy but I’m sofreakingexcited for it! Here’s my favorites from the week. Have a great weekend!
Favorite Rustic Kitchen: I seriously love the combination of the white and dark wood. And the glass cabinets top the whole thing off. But for real, do people really keep their cabinets that organized?!
Favorite Deceptively Healthy Dessert: Decadent Chocolate Cake with Whipped Chocolate Frosting. I bet you can’t guess the super healthy secret ingredient!
Favorite Pre-Run Fuel: Soft Oat and Quinoa Bars with Chocolate Chunks and Cherries. Oooh how I wish I had made these for the race this weekend! They look so satisfying.
Favorite Reason to be Excited for Soup Weather: Italian Beef Stew. This looks like the perfect beef stew – not too thick, not too thin, and chock full of goodies!
Favorite Reason for Fall NOT to Come Yet: It’s fig season and I need to eat all the figs! Especially on these Fig Gorgonzola and Honey Tartines.
Favorite Mantra for Ragnar:
That kitchen IS gooorgeous.
omg Ryan Gosling maybe you could motivate me to run…probably not but…maybe! 😛
Oh my gosh – good luck and have fun. And if you get tired think of Ryan and that puppy waiting for you!!
Those tartines and that beef stew look delicious!
Goodluck with the run 🙂
Good luck running this weekend!
AHHH I love RAGNAR!! We’ve done it 4 times and it’s my favorite running event ever! Which one are you doing?! Enjoy every minute!
Haha, love the running mantra! Ragnar sounds like a lot fun- good luck!
Healthy chocolate cake? Say no more.
This is a great collection of recipes. I would love the recipe link for the quinoa chocolate cherry bars when you get a chance. They look great for hiking. Enjoy the run! It sounds great.
I live in Winona where the Ragnar starts!! Best of luck!
