Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Baby E update this week. I also have some other fun pregnancy posts planned for the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned for those. Have a great weekend!
How far along are you? 24 weeks.
Cravings: I haven’t had any OMGINEEDTOHAVEITNOW cravings lately, but have been really into berry smoothies, anything citrus, peanut butter, and old-school mac and cheese.
Food Aversions: Nothing, which makes me really happy! I was afraid that I was going to be one of those people who developed an aversion to veggies while pregnant which would’ve been really sad for my veggie-loving self.
Generally Feeling: Great for the most part, although my heartburn has been pretty nasty lately. It doesn’t really matter what I eat for dinner, if I eat too late, I have heartburn. Because of that, I’m trying to eat dinner as early as I can. I’m also tossing back Tums like candy and I started taking Zantac to hopefully help.
My hip pain is really inconsistent and random, and gets pretty intense when I do have it, but it generally goes away if I sit down and do some stretching.
I have also really started to feel the effects of my growing belly this past week on normal day-to-day activities. Getting up from the couch and in and out of my car require more “oomph” that it used to and if I eat more than a snack I feel physically uncomfortable in my stomach, which I’m assuming is from my stomach not having as much room to expand.
Looking Forward To: Vacation! We leave today for Captiva, Florida and I am so excited for the sun, the beach, and some R&R with Marc.
Miss Anything: Wine. Still.
Movement: Still a ton. Though he hasn’t woken me up at night like some friends have told me will happen.
What I’ve Been Loving: Marc has been able to feel him move a lot this past week, which was really fun. There was a 20 minute period one night when Marc had his hand on my belly and every ten seconds the baby would kick and Marc would go “Woah!” It was pretty cute. I’m also loving comparing pregnancy symptoms and complaints with all of my pregnant friends. I’ve never had many pregnant friends and all of a sudden it seems like so many people are expecting…it’s the best! Pregnancy is such a fun thing to bond over.
Maternity Clothes: Yep. However, I refused to spend any money on a maternity swim suit that I will only wear for one week, so I’ll be attempting to pull off the pregnancy-bikini look on vacation. I also didn’t buy any new warm weather clothes, and am just hoping to fit into some of my summer dresses and skirts.
Boy or girl: Boy!
