Just popping in today to say Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and happy New Year! Like most years, I’m taking off the week between Christmas and New Years. It’s a nice mental break from always thinking about recipe development, writing blog posts, etc. and it’s always such a busy time for everyone that I figure you all have enough going on. You don’t need more food to think about!
Don’t worry – I’ll be back next week with a super easy and healthy comfort meal to get your new year started!
In addition to saying happy holidays, I wanted to share something fun that I did to give back to those who serve us daily – the delivery and mail carriers! I did almost 100% of my Christmas shopping online this year so I became quite familiar with the UPS, USPS, and FedEx guys and gals.
So when I saw Kristen from Dine & Dish post on Instagram an idea to set out treats for the delivery people, I immediately knew I had to copy her idea. What a sweet way to say thank you!
In addition to leaving puppy chow and chocolate crinkle cookies (this recipe!), I also left a couple of healthy treats too, including my favorite FLYJOY Quinoa Bars. I was happily surprised to see the healthy treats went first!
I hope your holiday season was filled as much awe as Lars’. Thanks for being a greens & chocolate reader – it really does mean the world to me! See ya in 2017!
This post was sponsored by FLYJOY, as they inspired me to give back to my community this holiday season!
