I don’t like to toot my own horn, but I’m going to take a minute to brag about my newly discovered grill skills. Just a couple of months ago, I had no idea how to even turn on a grill. Even if the grill was turned on for me I really didn’t know what to do. I guess that cliche phrase “where there’s a will there’s a way” really is true, and my craving for grilled meat combined with Marc’s busy schedule forced me to do a little self-teaching. To my surprise, it’s not that hard! Since discovering that grilling isn’t as scary as I thought, I’ve been a grillin’ machine.
Last weekend I picked up some ground beef at the farmer’s market with burgers in mind for that evening. I ended up making a super simple recipe in which the ground beef is combined with some ranch seasoning and that’s it! To top it off, I made a yogurt salsa sauce to drizzle over the burgers, along with some fresh avocado slices.
The burgers? Delicious! The yogurt salsa sauce? Amazing! And versatile. We put it on top of the burgers, drizzled it over our grilled potatoes, and Marc used the leftover sauce to dip tater tots and his new favorite Trader Joe’s snack: Mini Chicken Tacos. His only complaint about the sauce is that he wished I would have made more, so if you’ve got a big dipper in your household, be sure to double this recipe.
