chunky-monkey monkey bread

If you do one thing this weekend, make this for breakfast.  Please?  I’m begging you.  If you’ve ever had monkey bread, you obviously liked it, and if you like peanut butter and bananas (who doesn’t?), you must make this.  This is monkey bread taken up a few notches.  Monkey bread on steroids.  Super monkey bread.  Monkey bread to the max.  You get the point.  Make it.

Chunky-Monkey Monkey Bread
serves 6-8

2 cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1 stick butter
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 ripe banana, diced

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Remove biscuits from can and cut each biscuit into 8 pieces.  Put in large bowl or plastic bag.  In small bowl, melt butter and peanut butter.  Add brown sugar and stir well to combine.  Add mixture to bowl/baggie, then add chopped bananas.  Stir or shake well to evenly distribute butter/peanut butter.

Pour into bundt pan.  Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, until top becomes golden brown.  Allow to cool for 10 minutes.  Invert from pan and dig in!
